Huddle: May 11th

Here is the basic structure of this gathering:

Adore Jesus (Revelation 5)

Pray for Harvest and Laborers (Matthew 9)

Pray for boldness (Acts 4)

Pray for one another

  • Upward–how is your relationship with Jesus?

  • Inward–how are you developing as a leader? How are you loving your family?

  • Outward–who are you discipling? Time for “troubleshooting”

Here’s how to do it:

Adore Jesus: Read Revelation 5, sing a song or two together with a time of adoration prayer in between

  • The group leader should open with a SHORT prayer so everyone else knows what to do.

  • The focus of this prayer is on worshipping Jesus for his character and his work in your life. This is not a time for requests, that will come later.

  • Give lots of time for everyone to take a turn or 2 or more, allow for lots of silence. As the leader end when everyone seems finished.

Pray for the Harvest and Laborers: Read Matthew 9:35-38

  • Ask everyone in the group to share at a person on their heart and offer an update on each person.

  • Have someone in the group write down the names of each person mentioned.

  • Pause to offer counsel and discussion as necessary

  • Divide the list among the participants.

Pray for Boldness: Read Acts 4:23-31

  • Option 1: pray the same prayer in the book of Acts (but update it to your current life)

  • Option 2: ask for a few volunteers to pray for the group

  • Option 3: ask for each group member to pray for another member

Pray for One Another:

  • Have each person give updates on the main three categories and then have someone else in the group pray for them when they finish sharing

  • Pause to offer counsel and discussion as necessary
